David Emond

Director of Development

As Director of Development, Dave’s job involves sharing Reconcile’s mission in order to increase community awareness and support. Before he arrived at Reconcile, Dave spent nine years as an English teacher and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at St. Sebastian’s School, a Catholic boys’ school in a suburb of Boston. After a service trip to New Orleans in 2008, Dave was overwhelmed by the devastation and felt called to help the city rebuild. He enlisted in AmeriCorps VISTA and moved to New Orleans, where he joined the St. Bernard Project, a local nonprofit rebuilding organization. Dave spent his volunteer year rebuilding homes for families in need, increasing awareness, and raising money to support programs. He was drawn to Reconcile because of the organization’s innovative spirit, positive energy, and commitment to finding solutions that work.
